The Ogbomoso Descendants Development Association (ODDA) was founded on the principles of unity, progress, and cultural preservation. As a community-driven organization, ODDA was established to bring together sons and daughters of Ogbomosoland, both at home and in the diaspora, with a shared vision of development and collective growth.
The Institute of Art & History museum collects, preserves, and interprets works of art of the highest quality, representing the world’s diverse artistic traditions, for the inspiration and education of the public and in accordance with our profession’s highest ethical standards and practices. Back in 2001, Baltimore was one gritty city when it came tohighest ethical standards and practices.
Since its inception, ODDA has made significant strides in empowering individuals, supporting education, fostering entrepreneurship, and executing community development projects.
1995
The Ogbomoso Descendants Development Association (ODDA) was established as a non-political, non-religious socio-cultural organization with the goal of uniting Ogbomoso descendants and driving community development. The foundation was built on principles of progress, empowerment, and cultural preservation.
1954
Inception of a New Set of Executives As ODDA grew, the need for stronger leadership and strategic direction led to the formation of a new executive team. This transition brought fresh ideas, improved governance, and a renewed commitment to ODDA’s mission of advancing human capital and infrastructural development in Ogbomosoland.
1997
With a solid leadership structure in place, ODDA launched new initiatives focused on education, entrepreneurship, community projects, and cultural heritage preservation. These efforts led to impactful programs such as scholarship awards, business empowerment, and infrastructure development projects.
2018
ODDA has expanded beyond its founding vision, connecting more Ogbomoso descendants across Nigeria and in the diaspora. The association continues to grow, engaging in collaborative partnerships, outreach programs, and sustainable development projects that uplift the Ogbomoso community.
